Nesda Technologies, Hannafin Automation, and Clevr celebrate their graduation from QuinteVation/Launch Lab Accelerator RevUP
QuinteVation and Launch Lab celebrated it’s first three Accelerator Program Graduates on May 17 at Capers Restaurant in Belleville as it looked at the success of the RevUP Program and forward to a new class of six companies starting this year.
The three graduates included Hannafin Automation, Nesda Technologies, and Clevr. Each founder took the stage with moderator Rob Clute, with Fireside Chats that spoke to the success of each in the program, and to their companies in general.
“The greatest element that RevUP gave us is that it short-circuited 5 years of trial-and-error and made us a better company”, stated Nesda Technologies Founder Michael Summers.
The first Accelerator in the Bay of Quinte Region, in Eastern Ontario, RevUP matches growth-stage companies with Entrepreneurs In Residence (EIR) over 6 months, and helps grow companies.
Also taking the stage were RevUP Partners, Launch Lab, to which it’s EIRs staff the program.
Jaques Pilon and Stephen Beamish both spoke to the support from Launch Lab, and their experiences that lend credence to the success of the program, spending over 6 months over 90 hours with CEOs.
“I do this because I want to see great Canadian companies,” stated EIR Stephen Beamish who at one time in his career was Vice President of marketing and business development for Mitel. “It used to be that in the US, if you wanted to build a rocket they would say ‘what kind of rocket’, and in Canada they would say ‘are you crazy?’ We need to change that.”
